Big Day of Giving is Tomorrow – Give where your heart is.

May 2, 12:00am marks the beginning of our 2019 Big Day of Giving. We at Wildflower are excited to participate for the first time. While our operating costs are low, we are looking to expand and build a financial base that will keep us sustained from year to year. To do this, we need your help.

As a supporter of Wildflower through Big Day of Giving, you are leveraging your donations through various matching and prize opportunities…every dollar will go towards keeping Wildflower in Fremont park, and helping us build our young woman’s program, as well as our Women’s History month event for 2020.

We are well on our way with some early donations, but we have a ways to go to reach our day’s goal of $2500…we hope you will be a part of this.

Wait…I almost forgot! We are holding two events on May 2 to boost Big Day of Giving. We are having two sonnet walks, called Wildflower Walks: Shakespeare in Fremont Park at 12:00 and 5:00pm. Both events are free and are a treasure hunt around the environs of Fremont Park in search of Shakespeare! Groups will leave every 10-15 minutes. At the end, join us for a beverage in our final location…but you have to take the Wildflower Walk to find out!

Wildflower Women’s Ensemble was born of the desire to create vibrant classical theatre with entirely female casts. Founded in July 2015 by Julianna Hess, Lori Ann DeLappe-Grondin, and Joshua Anderson, Wildflower is based in the Sacramento Region and draws influences from Sacramento Shakespeare Festival, Davis Shakespeare Ensemble Shakespeare’s Globe, Utah Shakespeare, Orlando Shakespeare, Shakespeare on the Vine and the Shakespeare Theatre Association.
