The Taming of the Shrew

The Taming of the Shrew

“There’ small choice in rotten apples.”

Wildflower Ensemble Company will present one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays on April 7 – 10, 2017 at 6:00pm. Taming of the Shrew tells the story of cantankerous and independent Katharina who becomes a more “conformable Kate” through the love and antics of the wily Petruchio. It is a rollicking tale chock full of laughs and intriguing characters.

Directed by Lori Ann DeLappe-Grondin*, we are pleased to continue to welcome new members into our company alongside our founding company members. Cast features Kathleen Poe*, Dale Flint, Nina Dramer*, Samantha Hannum*, Lynn Baker, Zoe Nauman, Shelby Saumier*, Katie Peters, BJ Nash, Kayla Willett*, Lincoln Taylor, Mary Jo O’Connor, Sarah Rothaus, Kim McCann-Lawson, Shelby Larsen, Sharon Pressburg-Nevans, Sinead Kennedy*, Khephra Owl and Faye “Nick” Taylor*.

We are keeping an eye on the weather and have one, if not two back up locations in mind. Should  the park be too sodden, we will post announcements here and on our Facebook page.

Tickets are free for all and available here. If you are able, a $5.00 suggested donation at the door will help us continue to realize our mission of producing free Shakespeare for Sacramento.

We can’t wait for you to join us for this, our fourth production, in the park in April. See you there.

If you are interested in supporting Wildflower Women’s Ensemble through a donation of auction items (Winter fundraiser), in-kind materials/supplies, food or drink, please contact Lori Ann at lori@wildflowerensemble.com or visit our Support Us page. We are fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas and certain donations may be eligible to receive a tax letter.
