Titus Andronicus in 80 Minutes, Sept. 2026

Welcome to our season of Reckoning.

As the sun sets over Fremont Park and the Norway spruce casts its long evening shadow, Wildflower Women’s Ensemble invites you into a story that is as ancient as it is urgently contemporary. Titus Andronicus asks us what happens when a community is pushed to its breaking point — and what it takes to face the consequences of our own making.

This production is fierce, fast, and deeply human. Performed under open sky, it becomes a shared act of witnessing: neighbors gathering in the grass to confront cruelty, resilience, and the fragile hope that something better can grow from the ashes.

We’re so glad you’re here. Settle in, breathe with the trees, and join us for 80 unforgettable minutes of Shakespeare’s most uncompromising tragedy — reimagined with clarity, compassion, and Wildflower’s signature spark.

Wildflower Women’s Ensemble was born of the desire to create vibrant classical theatre with entirely female casts. Founded in July 2015 by Julianna Hess, Lori Ann DeLappe-Grondin, and Joshua Anderson, Wildflower is based in the Sacramento Region and draws influences from Sacramento Shakespeare Festival, Davis Shakespeare Ensemble Shakespeare’s Globe, Utah Shakespeare, Orlando Shakespeare, Shakespeare on the Vine and the Shakespeare Theatre Association.
