Season of Magic – Sept. 2023 POSTPONED

Due to some unforeseen things, we are postponing Midsummer to May 2024. All is, and will be well, but this was necessary for the health and safety of our members. We’ll update this as we get closer, and we will be participating in Big Day of Giving on May 2, 2024.

This September, we return to the stage with our Season of Magic installment, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” We have started rehearsal and it is going very well!

We are splitting our time between two spaces this year as we look to branch out into West Sacramento. Sept. 7 & 8 will be at TreeTop Sac in West Sacramento. This is a ropes/climbing park that is part of the West Sac parks department, and the future site of a brand new amphitheatre. We are thrilled to be working with them on this inaugural performance. There is a cafe that will be open when you arrive and I can say that the coffee is very good. There are bathrooms and trees…lots of trees. Oh, did I mention parking? YES! There is a parking lot. While climbing is not part of our deal, feel free to check out their site for the services they offer – trust me, it’s pretty cool!

We will then return to Fremont Park in downtown Sacramento for the last two performances on Sept. 9 & 10. We are excited to continue our relationship with the City of Sacramento and to the place where Wildflower started in 2015.

For both locations, you are encouraged to bring chairs/blankets to sit on. They do turn off the sprinklers at Fremont but it might still be damp. TreeTop is part of the oak forest and it’s a dirt floor with some things in the ground that may be sticky.

We offer free access, so come on down! Donations are appreciated, just click the Support Us link.

Wildflower Women’s Ensemble is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, our non-profit umbrella. All donations made through our site are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Wildflower Women’s Ensemble was born of the desire to create vibrant classical theatre with entirely female casts.
